HELP SAVE
SILVER LAKE

The Silver Lake Improvement Association (SLIA) was created to improve water quality by mitigating cyanobacteria blooms that have affected the Lake.

Cyanobacteria is killing our lakes!

NH saw a huge increase in cyanobacteria outbreaks.

Cyanobacteria isn’t going away, but we can solve this problem together. Your donation and support of the SLIA will help funnel funds into a New Hampshire Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Watershed-based Study, water health/quality testing, stormwater mitigation, and community education.

VOTE YES on Warrant Article#2 Hollis Town Meeting

Vote “Yes” on Hollis’s Silver Lake Warrant Article #2 to approve a fully-forgivable $100K NH CWSRF loan for a non-binding Watershed Study.

The SLIA has been pre-approved for a $100K Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) fully-forgivable loan to pay for a non-binding Watershed-based Study. This Watershed-based Study would be the first step in identifying the causes of cyanobacteria blooms. The Study will pinpoint problems and make non-binding recommendations to focus efforts to clean up the Lake.

“Cyanobacteria outbreaks have been increasing in a large population of lakes across the country. If we don’t start getting a handle on this now, we may lose our lakes and the ability to recreate and enjoy them.”
